Last week the London Bridal Show was held at Olympia. It was my first opportunity to see so many stockists under one roof and I loved it!
Everyone was really friendly and there was a very relaxed and welcoming atmosphere (which, to be honest, I wasn’t expecting!) I went with the intention of buying accessories including veils, tiaras, jewellery and petticoats and had to be very disciplined not to buy all the pretty things I saw on day one. I stuck to my plan and slept on the big decisions then went out on the second day to buy from just those suppliers that would be right for The Ivory Room. I’m really pleased to be able to say I am now a stockist of Ivory & Co, White Ivy and Elizabeth Dickens Veils.
We went along to the RBA Awards on the Monday night which was held at the Kensington Roof Gardens and enjoyed the free flowing wine and nibbles. Ivory & Co won Best Headdress Supplier so very glad to be able to offer my brides award winning tiaras and jewellery.
Everything is coming together well at the shop, it’s beginning to look like a boutique now. I’ve just had a delivery of all my dresses from Allure so I unpacked them straight onto the rails and they look perfect. I’ve ordered some larger sizes in Allure, especially from their Woman range, so I really do have something for everyone (and that doesn’t just mean the token larger size it means plenty to choose from for everyone).
I hope you like the new sign, it was expertly hand painted today by our local sign writer, there’s no going back now!
